Electronic Device Recycling in 2025 The Hawaii Electronic Device Recycling and Recovery Law requires manufacturers of electronic devices to operate recycling programs. The State of Hawai`i recently enacted Act 162 (2025), which expands the definition of an electronic device eligible for recycling under the law to include items such as a household router and modem; uninterrupted power source (UPS); peripherals such as a keyboard, mouse, or webam; and older devices such as a fax machine. Learn more at the State Dept. of Health's Electronic Device Recycling & Recovery Law page.
