Contributing a Winter Wonderland and a Uke-Playing Grinch to the Keiki's Christmas Drive-Through

     Mr. K's joined the Keiki's Christmas drive-through event organized by the Penn Hawai'i Youth Foundation and Penn Fitness Center on Saturday, Dec. 12th.  Families and individuals safe in their cars followed a windy path through the parking area at 777 Kinoole St., past several illuminated, stationary floats. The event replaced the traditional Downtown Hilo Christmas Light Parade, which was cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns. 
     Mr. K's float featured a winter wonderland, complete with Christmas trees decorated with a recycling theme, a happy Grinch (left) playing the ukulele and wishing guests a Merry Christmas, and an elf distributing treats. We're excited that we won 1st Place for "Best Small Float"! Congratulations to all the team for a job well done on our first float!
